We are honoured to be worshipping on the traditional ancestral unceded territory of the Coast
Salish peoples and do not take this privilege and responsibility lightly. We acknowledge the
importance of connection to land, culture, spirituality, family, and community for the well-being
of all Indigenous and non-Indigenous people who lived and continue to live here and we at
Richmond Presbyterian Church seek to learn from Indigenous wisdom as to how we can live in
right-relatedness with Creator, creation and all peoples.

Deep with God
Shallow and noncommittal faith does not breed vital believers and congregations. As one young man said, if all my religion is going to change is my Sunday schedule, then I’m not interested.
Authentic faith impacts every part of our lives.
Going deep with God affects how we spend our money, how we work, how we treat our family, friends and neighbours, how we use our time. Authentic, deep faith impacts our character, ethics and values.
And there’s a cost to going deep with God, it can’t be otherwise. If we’re going to go deep with God, we need to be all in!
Wide with the world
Jim Wallis, said, “faith is always personal, but it’s never private.”
We live out our faith publicly because it’s too good to keep to ourselves.
We share Jesus and his love for all people, especially those people who think that they are unlovable, that they are unredeemable, that they aren’t worth it.
This is our calling as the church, to share the good news, to live, work and speak as a community that shares the good news of God’s unceasing love and wants to rejoice as God rejoices, when even one lost one is found.
