March 20, 2020

Dear Family of RPC:

We are in a season of unpredictability and uncertainty, a time when many of us will be feeling a distinct lack of control over issues that matter deeply to us. Many of us cannot work as usual, cannot connect with family, friends and loved ones as we’d like, cannot participate in the regular activities that bring joy and happiness to our lives as we normally would do. Events around the world and right in our communities seem beyond our ability to impact and they can leave us frustrated, worried and afraid.

In this season of Lent, we are reminded that we believe and trust in a God who is with us, with all of us, with all creation and that this God has loved us so profoundly that God came to us in human form in the person of Jesus of Nazareth that through his incarnation, his life, death and resurrection, we would be freed from fear, from our sin, darkness and brokenness, so that we might live in ways that embody and bear witness to the kingdom of God and the love of Jesus in our midst. We are called to be a people of hope, courage, patience and love, never more than now. We are to live in such a way, as the church, the body of Christ and as members of it, so that when people see us, they might see something of Jesus in us.

While our worship in person has been suspended for the time being, we are working faithfully to offer ways of being connected in community through livestreamed worship services. These will be offered each Sunday at our usual time of 10 a.m.

There are two ways you can access the livestreams.

For those who wish to access our livestream via Facebook, please go to

If you do not have a Facebook account, don’t worry when it asks you to log in – just click the NOT NOW at the very bottom of the pop-up.

For those who wish to access our livestream via YouTube, please go to

Both sites will have the livestream of the worship starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Please also subscribe to the pages so that you can get notification when new posts are uploaded.

The church office will be emailing you the Worship Bulletin. The Bulletin will have the worship service printed, along with words for the music so that you can follow along.

If you would like to support the ministry of the church with your offerings, and you are not on PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance program) you can mail in your donation to the church office at 7111 No. 2 Road, Richmond BC, V7C 3L7. Make sure that your name and address are on the envelope so that we can receipt you accordingly.

For those of you on PAR, thank you – using PAR makes it super easy for our envelope secretary. If you are interested in getting set up on PAR, please contact the church office.
