Special announcements to the congregant re worship services | Dec 24, 2021
Hello congregation of RPC.
Session has discussed, at our recent meeting and as late as yesterday by email, our response to the “omicron wave” of the COVID-19 virus.
We have decided to go ahead with live worship tonight at 7:30 pm for Christmas Eve and this Sunday at 10:00 am, but with no Munch & Mingle at either.
This is an important season of the year for worship for most of us; for some, it’s the singularly paramount time. Dr. Henry did not change restrictions on worshipping gatherings when she made her recent round of announcements, and we continue to meet or exceed prescribed protocols. After 4 waves and almost 2 years, most people are clear in their own minds about the level of risk they are comfortable with. By holding the services, we are in no way encouraging anyone to come against their judgement. We recognize that we are in unsettled times and deeply appreciate all of you for making decisions that continue to keep the health and wellness of others and yourselves as a priority. Services continue to be available online for those who cannot or choose not to attend in person.
Session will reassess as circumstances change, including a decision on January services which begin on the 2nd.
Merry Christmas to all.
